The distinction between first and business class seems to have blurred over the past few years making consumers question if there really is a difference. Priority boarding, dedicated TSA lines and check in are standard for both first and business class. But what differs between the two depends on the specific airline. Some airlines make a distinct separation with first class getting bigger seats, aisle access, better food/wine, airport lounge access and more attentive service. While other airlines offer the exact same amenities for both first and business class passengers. Furthermore some airlines base the distinctions on flight route/length where the longer the flight, the bigger the distinction. Since these factors vary greatly, researching specific airlines and routes can help determine the best class to purchase.
