Per the TSA website, the TSA precheck program allows pre-approved, low risk travelers the opportunity to apply for expedited screening at participating US airports. Eligible passengers include US citizens of frequent traveler programs who are invited to participate; US citizens/permanent residents who are members of the TSA precheck application program; US citizens who are members of the US customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Program (i.e. Global Entry); and members of the US armed forces. The application requires a non-refundable fee of $85, finger printing and background checks.
