Slovakia is a small country that packs a big punch. It offers all of the activity and excitement of its eastern European neighbors without the crowds and inflated prices. Slovakia contains 300 castles, 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and 10 open air museums. With a strong tradition of diverse folk arts and crafts, it also has perfectly preserved medieval and renaissance towns. The natural beauty of this country is apparent with its scenic mountains, 712 caves and along there many wine routes. And just like some of its neighbors, Slovakia is overflowing with hot springs, mineral water sources, spas and a geyser including 1160 registered sources of healing waters and 22 spa resorts. With all of this, Slovakia definitely lives up to its nickname, “Little Big Country”.
