Choosing the cheapest flight for shorter flights are ok but long haul flights are a different story. There are three major things you should consider when choosing your airline for such flights. The first is food. Most airlines provide a decent quantity of food but the quality varies greatly. If you have specific dietary needs or are a picky eater, research the food service online prior to booking. Second is entertainment. A good in flight entertainment system is critical for those long flights. Make sure the aircraft flown for your specific route has seat back screens. These offer more choices and are much more comfortable than the overhead, shared screens. Lastly is comfort. Research the size of the seats and the number of aisles in the aircraft. Having a roomier seat and two aisles makes it easier to move around while in flight. And if you can, splurge for business or first class. The price may be a little more but you’ll thank yourself when you’re well rested and limber when you land.
