Sitting in a cramped seat with recycled air and not-so edible airline food is doable for a flight 5 hrs or less but it is another story when it comes to longer flight, especially those upwards of 12-19 hrs nonstop.  Here are some steps you can take to get you through your next long flight: Upgrade to first or business class for the extra legroom and better meals; bring the appropriate gear (neck pillows, blankets, etc) to maximize naps; utilize entertainment (books, music, etc) to occupy your time; and stay hydrated, wear comfortable loose clothing and walk around/exercise legs to help prevent blood clots. Implementing these few tips can turn a potential horrible flight into an enjoyable one.
