• How to Avoid Lost Luggage

Though statistics show that airlines are getting better with losing luggage, it is still an unfortunate reality when it comes to travel. Of course the best way to avoid having your luggage lost is to only travel with a carryon. However, this may not be feasible for everyone or every trip. First, securely attach your contact information to the outside AND the inside of every bag. Add unique identifiers to your bag such as a uniquely colored fabric, straps or tape. Double check the destination on the bar-coded airline tags before you leave the check in counter and keep all of the coordinating stubs. Lastly, pack all valuables (medication, travel docs, jewelry, etc) in your personal carry on.
