    Advances in technology have afforded individuals with medical conditions and disabilities increased opportunities to travel. However, these individuals are still subject to mandatory TSA security screenings which has come under fire lately due to alleged lack of compassion and knowledge for individual with medical conditions/disabilities. To avoid potential problems or delays at TSA checkpoints, it is recommended that travelers with special medical conditions/disabilities contact TSA Cares at1-855-787-2227 at least 72 hours prior to their flight. This toll-free helpline provides information and screening expectations based on specific medical conditions/disabilities.
