    Most pet owners consider their pets a part of the family and hate to travel without them. As more pet owners desire travel with their furry friends, policies have been implemented to accommodate them. The FAA allows the airlines to decide if they will allow pets to travel and in what spaces of the aircraft. Therefore, pet regulations vary per airline and include which types of pets are allowed, where they can travel within the vessel and to which destination. Pet owners should research the pet policies between airlines to determine which airline would be the best fit for their desired destination. It is also important to note that service animals are not considered pets and are allowed everywhere that the person they are assisting is allowed.
