Many people approach us and tell us they would love to travel but it’s too expensive. Our suggestion for them is to start a travel fund based on what you can afford to put away (and don’t touch) per month or per paycheck. For example, if you save $20 a month, in 12 months you’d have $240 which is enough for the average vacation deposit. That way, you can lock in a sale and take your time paying the balance.
